PROP forward Matt Holmes has taken out
the Queanbeyan Blues first grade player of the year award at the club's end of season presentation earlier this evening.
Holmes was a stalwart for the east Queanbeyan club in the front row this season and was a regular face in a Blues side that was decimated by injury for much of its campaign.
The evening's presentation took on a sombre note following a minute's silence in honour of Blues forward Jay Lasscock who passed away earlier this year.
In the night's other major awards, Daniel Lucas was named as reserve grade player of the year while Matthew Kenworthy was named as under-18s player of the season.
