The Q Exhibition Space is currently hosting its final exhibit of the year featuring some of Australia's most talented textile artists.
The exhibition Beneath the Southern Sky is being presented by Brenda Gael Smith and was launched at The Q on Tuesday. It will run until December, 18.
The travelling exhibition explores 30 different textiles work from all over Australia showcasing a wide range of techniques and materials enabling people to see fabric art in a way they perhaps haven't experienced before.
Visitors can expect to be reminded about Australian culture like aboriginal patterns and even a quilt with old Australian song lyrics like "I've been everywhere man".
There are a wide range of artistic styles and materials on display including felt works, embroidery, art made out of tea bags and even fabric died in bark to get the effect of a tree.
