Roos turn cull on dogs

24 Jul, 2009 10:51 AM
TWO of the Canberra Raiders Cup's most stringent defensive units face off on Sunday with the Queanbeyan Kangaroos travelling to Goulburn to play the Bulldogs.

The Roos held Yass scoreless last round with a 54-0 demolition, while Goulburn has conceded an average of just 17 points per game this year in its 10 wins.

Earlier this season Queanbeyan blew a 14-point, second-half lead at Freebody Oval to lose to the Bulldogs in the dying stages of the match.

Captain-coach Adam Taylor said the Roos were good enough to reverse the result this time around if they played 80 minutes of rugby league.

``It's just a matter of turning up with our heads on, I can't say it enough, if we turn up to play I don't think there's a side in this comp that can beat us,'' Taylor said.
