Athletes' lightning speeds

THE Queanbeyan Little Athletics records tumbled last Saturday at Wright Park in almost perfect weather conditions.

Under-17 athlete Keira Doherty set a new record in the 200m hurdles with a time of 32 seconds, and she also broke the 100m hurdles record in a time of 18 seconds.

In the boys 200m hurdles under-15 athlete Tristan Kilpatrick broke the record, with a time of 31 seconds, and David Robinson broke the under-13 record with a time of 33.6 seconds.

The following athletes were awarded red improvement patches on Saturday after just two days of competition: Tara Plant, Sophie Spice, Anita Manning, Emma Hitchman, Emogen Kelly, Jessica Sparks, Cassandra Hopkins, Brooke Hughes, Ebony Hughes, Tiharne Cole, Lachlan de Jongh, Hamish Kilpatrick-Ware, Jackson Gilbert, Hugo Caruso, Jordan Gilbert, Lachlan Savage, Harrison Palic, Cade Rudd, Jordan Kelly, Zane Marolt, Sebastian Palombi, Kade Abbott, Adrian Schmidt, Tristan Kilpatrick and Fergus Longbottom.
