TWO stolen cars with Victorian plates have been torched in Queanbeyan in the past week.
On Sunday morning, Queanbeyan fire and police services attended a burnt out wreck in Banksia Crescent.
A nearby resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, told ifThe Queanbeyan Agenf the stolen Ford Fairmont had been set alight using petrol bombs.
Senior Constable Naomi Nemec said the interior of the vehicle had been totally destroyed in the incident.
In a second attack at Henderson Road, near the Queanbeyan Railway Station, another car bearing Victorian plates was set alight.
This time it was during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Again fire authorities and police attended the incident, but the car was destroyed.
The possibility of a link between the two fires has been raised with Queanbeyan's intelligence unit.
Senior Constable Nemec said police were seeking information about the car fires and investigations were continuing.
In a third arson attack this week, a power pole was set alight on Canberra Avenue.
The Queanbeyan Fire Brigade and police attended the scene just after 3am on Sunday morning.
