JERRABOMBERRA res-idents are fed up with having their sporting facility vandalised.
Whether it be attempts to break into the canteen and storage sheds, graffiti on the walls, or damage to the oval turf from cars doing donuts, Queanbeyan City Council is receiving reports of damage to David Madew Oval on an almost weekly basis.
The latest act occurred last week when the canteen and storage building was `toilet papered' vandals left the building covered in wet toilet paper and toilets jammed full.
As a regular user of the grounds, Monaro Panthers summer competition coordinator, Kathy Davanzo, is fed up, and said he believed the regular damage was the result of the close proximity of the skate park.
``I think that since the skate park has come in, there seems to be more vandalism,'' she said.
``My personal opinion is that skate parks are fantastic.
``I love them, I'd love to see them continue, but they shouldn't be here where there's often no one here to supervise them.
