Foster carers are urgently needed in Queanbeyan for children of all ages who cannot live safely at home and would benefit from a supportive and safe family environment.
A foster care public information session will be held on June 3 at Community Services, 11 Farrer Place, Queanbeyan at 1pm.
Light refreshments will be provided. Please make sure to book your place by calling 6229 7228.
There are more than 16,000 children in out-of-home care in NSW. Community Services, along with our non-government agencies, need more people from all walks of life to come on board now to take on this important role.
Carers can be single, de facto, with or without children and from any religious or cultural background.
Fostering NSW is a NSW Government initiative, in partnership with non-government foster care agencies, to provide information relating to all aspects of foster care and to encourage people to become foster carers.
The website – www.fosteringnsw.com.au – provides a one-stop shop for people wanting to learn more and outlines the steps to apply.
